"Crystal Clear" is applied directly from the bottle, with the tip making swirling motions or patterns. It comes out of the
bottle white, and dries clear. A very cool effect. To make the vase waterproof (not dishwasher proof!), we sprayed it several times with a lacquer called "Krylon high gloss"
